Horn and turning signal ring adjusment, 170SD
01.01.2018 um 22:17:07

Hello,
I have problems getting the turning signal ring adjusted to be able to sound the horn.
Maybe  thickness of the fiber gasket that pushes the spring contact is not correct.
This gasket is glued under the signal wheel, can someone tell me the correct thickness?

Happy New Year!

Javier

Hi again,

I think after the long restoration of the car some parts are missing:
84 (181 464 01 86) Kontaktteller
85 (153 464 00 23) Isoliertplatte
86 (186 993 37 01) Drickfeder für Kontakring
83 (181 464 00 28) Kontaktscheibe
97 (183 997 05 40 Gummischeibe

Any idea where I could get some of these parts?

With thanks,
Javier

Thanks Ludo for the parts!

I am still wondering how to asemble all these parts and the Einstellmutter #87  (153 464 00 72) is still missing.
Maybe someone can share its dimensions....I think it has a special form...

With thanks,

Hallo Reinhard,
Thanks for the pictures and explaining it.
Ludo has this nut, but now that i know the correct way to assemble it my problem is horn sounds all the time.
If I understand well, both copper whashers should be in contact and only while pressing the ring they move down to contact the metal underneath....correct?
Or both copper whashers should not touch until the signalring is pressed? In that case my lower ring moves too much upward and needs to be bended down.

 hä?

you are right the upper washer is the only one which moves downwards in order to make the contact. The lower one is permanent contacting the ring with the cabling.
